Last year was our first year with Turf’s Up Lawn Service. We highly recommend their lawn treatment services. Every year our HOA has sent us a letter saying that we need to take care of our lawn. Thanks to Turfs Up we did not receive a letter last year!

Update Again! Turf's Up is really dedicated to keeping their customers happy! This spring (2025) I had a slight complaint about weeds and a few dead spots and asked Turf's Up to take a look. Dan, one of the owners, came out and walked the whole yard with me (3+ acres), identifying weeds and observing dead spots. Dan then proposed a complimentary additional weed treatment. Not only did Turf's Up do the weed treatment, they followed up with a complimentary aeration and re-seeding in areas of the lawn that needed it. I am very impressed with the extra effort Turf's Up has done to help me have a great lawn. Update: For 2024 I've asked Turf's Up to expand treatment to the whole yard. I saw good results, compared to a neighbor, and decided to go all in. I selected Turf's Up because I saw them working a neighbor's yard that I had admired. I purchased their 8-treatment plan for 2022 plus aeration and seeding in the fall. Because of the large size of our yard, I had them treat about 2/3 of it. The areas they treated and seeded are noticeably improved over the area that was not treated, so I am well pleased with the results. Additionally, I have called them several times to ask questions about the treatments and to identify certain weeds (now gone) that were causing problems. Randy and Dan have always been quick to respond, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend Turf's Up. Oscar N. McNeil, Waterford, VA

Lawn Care Services in Manassas Park, VA

Turf’s Up brings full-service lawn care to Manassas Park homeowners through a year-round  program that anchors every treatment in its right season. Fertilization, weed and insect control,  aeration, lime, disease management, and outdoor pest programs are coordinated into one  calendar-aligned plan. Turf’s Up provides professional lime treatment for soil in Manassas Park, VA every fall, correcting the acidic conditions that limit how well your fertilizer can perform. Our  complete year-round lawn care program also covers fertilization, weed, insect, disease, and  pest control timed to every season. Correct your Manassas Park soil this fall. Call Turf’s Up at  (703) 740-9525 for a free estimate.

      Lawn Fertilization Service

Manassas Park’s cool-season fescue and bluegrass depend on consistent, balanced feeding to  maintain density and color through Northern Virginia’s seasonal extremes. Our lawn fertilization  service applies five to seven slow-release rounds across spring kickoff, late spring growth,  summer maintenance, fall recovery, and winter prep. Each round provides the right ratios so  growth stays steady, roots deepen, and weeds find fewer openings. Manassas Park lawns on  the program show clear improvement within the first season.

      Aeration and Overseeding

Prince William County soil leans heavy and compacts under foot and equipment traffic. Late  August through September is the only reliable aeration window for cool-season Manassas Park  lawns; missing it usually means waiting another year. Core aeration relieves compaction;  overseeding with modern turf-type tall fescue thickens the canopy. Done together each fall, the  combination is the single most effective service for older or thinning Manassas Park lawns.

      Lime Treatment

Soil tests across Manassas Park regularly reveal acidic conditions that block fertilizer  effectiveness regardless of rate. Our lime treatment for soil uses a pelletized product applied  primarily in fall, when soil chemistry is most receptive to adjustment. Soil testing comes first so  you only apply lime when results indicate need. Most Manassas Park yards benefit from a  maintenance application every two to three years to keep nutrients available and your lawn  investment working hard.

      Weed Control

Crabgrass, dandelion, clover, and nutsedge are persistent in Manassas Park lawns, especially  where turf is thin. Our weed control program runs a late-winter pre-emergent application to block

crabgrass at germination and follows with post-emergent spot treatments through spring and  summer. We match products to the weeds actually present and apply at correct rates.  Manassas Park lawns typically see a sharp reduction in weed pressure within the first full year.

      Lawn Insect Control

Grubs, chinch bugs, and sod webworms cause hidden damage to Manassas Park lawns, often  visible only as thinning patches before homeowners realize an insect is to blame. Our lawn  insect control program runs preventive grub treatments in late spring, before damage begins,  with curative applications through summer when active feeding is detected. Catching the cycle  early protects every dollar invested in fertilization, aeration, and overseeding through the year.

      Lawn Disease Control

Manassas Park’s hot, humid June and July create reliable pressure for brown patch, dollar spot, and red thread. Our lawn disease control program applies preventive fungicides during the high risk summer window and curative treatments when symptoms emerge. Preventive treatment is

most effective when started before disease takes hold. With proper mowing and watering  guidance, most Manassas Park lawns avoid significant fungal damage even in the worst  summer weeks.

      Tree and Shrub Care

Established trees and foundation shrubs across Manassas Park need their own care. Dormant  oil in late winter knocks down overwintering insects before they activate. Tree and shrub  fertilization during the growing season uses deep-root injection, while tree and shrub insect  control protects against bagworms, scale, lace bugs, and aphids. These ornamental programs  are essential on cherries, hollies, and dogwoods common in Manassas Park landscapes and  prone to pest damage.

      Perimeter Pest Control

Ants, spiders, stink bugs, and centipedes show up indoors with weather changes. Our perimeter pest control services treat the foundation, doors, and entry points of your Manassas Park home  so insects stay outside. Treatments are pet-safe once dry and applied quarterly to match  Northern Virginia’s seasonal pest pressure. Many homeowners pair the program with lawn care  for full property coverage and a single point of contact.

      Mosquito Control

Manassas Park’s drainage features, retention ponds, and humid summers drive heavy mosquito pressure from a spring launch through summer’s peak. Our mosquito control program launches  in April and treats foliage where adults rest plus standing water where larvae develop. Mosquito  treatment for yard areas focuses on patios, decks, and play spaces. With recurring treatments, families reclaim outdoor evenings without constant repellent during prime pest season.

      Flea, Tick, and Chigger Control

Wooded edges, parks, and tall grass all contribute to Manassas Park’s tick and chigger  pressure. Our flea and tick control program treats yards with targeted applications focused on

the borders these pests prefer. Flea and tick prevention applications continue through the active months, and outdoor chigger control keeps pine straw, mulched beds, and ground cover clear.  Pets and kids enjoy the yard with significantly less risk of bites.

      Your Questions, Our Answers

      Turf's Up! Team

What professional lawn care and pest control services are available to homeowners in Manassas Park, VA?

How often should residential lawns in Manassas Park, VA be professionally fertilized for healthy, green results?

Most Manassas Park lawns benefit from five to seven fertilization rounds per year, timed to  spring kickoff, late spring, summer maintenance, fall recovery, and winter prep. The schedule is  built into our standard year-round program.

What are the most common lawn problems affecting residential yards in Manassas Park, VA?

Compacted clay, broadleaf and crabgrass weeds, summer fungal disease, and grub damage  are the most consistent issues. A coordinated fertilization, aeration, weed, and insect control  program addresses all four when applied on the right monthly schedule.

Is professional grub and insect control necessary for lawns in Manassas Park, VA?

For most properties, yes. Late-spring preventive grub treatments and curative applications  through summer protect against the chinch bugs, sod webworms, and grubs that quietly thin  Manassas Park lawns from below the surface.

When should Manassas Park, VA homeowners schedule mosquito and perimeter pest control treatments?

Mosquito treatments begin with an April launch and run every three to four weeks through  summer. Perimeter pest control runs quarterly across all four seasons. Both can start at any  point in the year as you build out the program.

Can professional weed control treatments eliminate stubborn and recurring weeds from lawns in Manassas Park, VA?

Yes. The late-winter pre-emergent prevents crabgrass at germination, while post-emergent  treatments through spring and summer handle dandelion, clover, and other broadleaf weeds.  Pressure drops significantly within the first full year on the program.

How can homeowners in Manassas Park, VA get started with a professional year round lawn care program?

Call Turf’s Up at (703) 740-9525 or request a quote online. We’ll review your property, discuss  goals, and send a written estimate with no obligation, so you can pick the programs that match  your priorities and budget.
